Sean LaFountaine - Inducted in 2000

Sean LaFountaine was born and raised in Taylor. He played in the Taylor Junior Football program, the Taylor Northeast Little League, elementary school basketball, and junior high basketball and baseball.

At Dearborn Divine Child High School in Dearborn, he was an All-State performer in football and baseball and was named honorable mention All-America by USA Today for football his junior year.

In 1985, he was awarded a four-year, full-ride football scholarship to the University of Michigan, where he also played baseball. He played on two Big Ten football championship teams, two Rose Bowl teams and one Rose Bowl championship team before suffering a career-ending injury in 1988.

Today, LaFountaine is a Firefighter in the City of Southgate.
