The City of Taylor has contracted with Carr’s Outdoor Services to clean and seal cracks and joints of the following concrete streets:

  • Bailey - Chestnut to Eureka
  • Westlake - Superior to Eureka
  • Clinton - Pardee to Birch
  • Brest - Telegraph to Pine
  • Brest - Pardee to Heatherwood Circle

Work is scheduled to begin the week of April 24.  Each street will take several days to prepare and seal.  Working hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The streets will be posted 24 hours in advance of the work to alert residents to not park on the street. For your own convenience, and so that the work can be performed in a safe and timely manner, park vehicles in other locations.

The streets will generally be worked on one half at a time to allow traffic to continue during working hours and be open after working hours.  However, residents may lose access to the front or side of their property for a few hours when work is being performed in front of or next door to their property, or on the opposite side of the street.

Trash pick-up will continue on the regularly scheduled day.  Continue to place the trash receptacles at curbside.

We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause. The City and Carr’s Outdoor Services will try to limit the inconvenience as best as possible.  Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.  Should you have any questions please contact Greg Mayhew, City Engineer, at (734) 374-1473, or by email at gmayhew@ci.taylor.mi.us.
