AltTextDid you know that Americans use 4 million plastic bottles every hour, but only 25 percent are recycled? Or that we waste enough aluminum annually to stock the auto industry with enough material to build a year’s worth of vehicles?

(Click here) This week’s podcast discusses recycling and related topics.

Department of Public Services Director Keith Boc visits host Dr. Paul Reeves and Karl Ziomek to discuss the ins and outs of recycling and rubbish.

Within the podcast, here interesting facts and figures, rubbish and compost program tips and a discussion about the Taylor Hills Compost Facility on Racho Road.

And remember: The City’s Annual Citywide Rummage Sale is scheduled for May 18-25.
