The City of Taylor has contracted with Al's Asphalt Paving to resurface Cooper Street, between Wick and Baker streets, beginning on Saturday, October 7.
The existing surface will be milled and pulverized, a granular base will be constructed, graded and compacted, and the final road surface will be constructed with two layers of asphalt. This work will be done in stages.
During the renovation, residents may lose access to driveways and the front of their properties for short periods of time. The street will be closed to traffic during working hours, except for emergencies and residents. It will be open to traffic after working hours.
For your own convenience, please park vehicles in driveways when the work is being done.
Trash pickup will continue on the regularly scheduled day and containers should be placed at the edge of the street. On side streets, locate the containers away from parked vehicles, so that they can be picked up by the waste hauler.
We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have questions, contact City Engineer Greg Mayhew at (734) 374-1473 or email@example.com.
