Building Department Customers
Beginning July 12, 2010 there will be a small change in how your building permit application will be processed at the City of Taylor Building Department.
A Zoning Review Fee will be charged to all building permit applications at the time they are submitted to the Building Department. This review will be performed to determine if the project you are proposing meets the requirements of the City of Taylor Zoning Ordinance. Once your permit has been approved or denied from the zoning review you may follow the normal procedures in pulling your building permit.
Exceptions to the Zoning Review Fee: The removal and replacement of Roofing, Siding, Windows, and Concrete.
The Zoning Review Fee does not include building plan review fees and/or permit fees. Applications submitted to the Building Department subject to Zoning Review will not be reviewed until the review fee has
been paid.
Zoning Fees:
Residential: $25.00
Commercial:
Based on project under ½ acre……………………………………………….. $25.00
Based on project ½ to 1 acre…………………………………………………. $50.00
Based on project 1 to 5 acres………………………………………………… $100.00
Based on project over 5 acres……………………………………………….. $175.00
