Bring a thick mat, wear loose clothes and don't eat two hours prior to class.

  5. Plarning-Mats for the Needy

    Plarning is making yarn from out of plastic strips (plarn) cut from grocery bags. The strips are crocheted into 3'x6' mats that are distributed to the homeless. The mats are lightweight, washable, bug resistant and also benefit our environment by putting the plastic bags to good use instead of our landfills. Approximately 700-1000 bags are used to complete one mat. This group meets every Wednesday from 9:30 - 11:30 am. We always need volunteers to sort, cut or crochet. If this interests you, why not join in and help provide a means for a needy cause and pass a good deed forward. We'd love to have you!

However, new or experienced dancers are welcome to stay the entire time.

    Please note that all entry fees and all dimes are returned to the players. The game manager is not paid and the senior center does not receive a cut. Entry fees are split into 3 separate envelopes - High Game, High Score Total, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place Scores. All winnings will be in even dollar amounts. Please stop at the front desk to receive a copy of the rules of the game. This is intended to be a friendly game - come for the socialization and have fun!
