The U.S. Census Bureau is seeking self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join the diverse team of professional men and women in various positions throughout our region.

Part-time positions are available to conduct Census Bureau surveys in Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia. This is an ideal job for a self-starter who is organized and enjoys meeting people.

The pay is $9.99 per hour (adjusted upward for locality), plus 55 cents per mile allowance for travel. Paid classroom training lasting three to seven days.

The requirements for applicants:

  • Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Must speak and write English well.
  • Must pass a 30-minute written test.
  • Must be Willing to work days, evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to persuade people to participate in surveys.
  • Must have a car, valid driver's license and private telephone line.
  • Must fill out Employment Eligibility Verification Form, I-9, if hired.
