Everyone is invited to free mental health talk at Oakwood Heritage Hospital in Taylor
Anyone that wants to learn and understand more about mental illness is invited to a free mental health seminar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 28, at Oakwood Heritage Hospital, 10000 Telegraph Road, Taylor.
The seminar will tell parents, professionals, caregivers and others about signs and symptoms, stress, dual diagnosis, dealing with the difficult, communications and legislation issues impacting mental health.
Speakers will include Wayne County Chief Probate Judge Milton Mack and Leon and Mary Ellen Judd of NAMI Metro (National Alliance on Mental Illness: www.namimetro.org).
A light lunch will be provided. Convenient parking will be available. Each attendee will receive a certificate of completion.
