Free Food Program
The Taylor Connection Free Food Program is scheduled for September 2 at the Taylor Human Services Center, 26650 Eureka Road. Participants start lining up for numbers at 9 a.m. Food distribution begins at 12:30 p.m. (but is dependant on truck arrival) and continues until the food is gone. Participants must fill out a quick survey, must have a current and valid Taylor identification (driver's license or state ID), must be 18 or older and must be be present to receive a number and food. Food boxes are presented on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit of one container of food per household regardless of size. The program is sponsored by The Information Center, Gleaners Community Food Bank, the City of Taylor, Taylor Connection, Meijer and Kroger. For more information, call (734) 282-7171.
