General Employee's Retirement Board

Mission Statement

The board of trustees is vested with the authority and fiduciary responsibility for the administration,  management and operation of the retirement system pursuant to collective bargaining agreements and applicable federal and state law.

The board of trustees has a duty to properly administer the provisions of the plan and invest the funds of the trust in accordance with Public Act No. 314 of 1965 (MCL 38.1132 et seq.) known as Act 314.


Generally, the Board meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 4:30 pm in the Council Study Room, 23555 Goddard, Taylor, Michigan.

All meetings of the board of trustees are open to the public and subject to the provisions of the Michigan Open Meetings Act.
