Get ready for a fun-filled Cruisin' for the Arts in Taylor

Classic car owners and spectators are invited to Cruisin' for the Arts, a fun cruise and car show to benefit the Taylor Cultural Arts Foundation and the Taylor Cultural Arts Commission.

The activities are set for Saturday, August 28. (August 29 is the rain date.) The event includes music, food and, of course, great cars.

The schedule of events:

  • Staging and registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Taylor Sportsplex, 13333 Telegraph Road, just south of Northline Road. The registration fee is $10.
  • Cars will cruise to Heritage Park from noon to 1 p.m. The park is located at 12111 Pardee Road between Goddard and Northline roads.
  • The car show, including judging, is set for 2 to 5 p.m. at the park. Spectators are welcome. Admission is free.
  • There will be a karaoke contest from 2 to 3 p.m. Enter to show off your singing skills or sit back and enjoy the show.
  • The awards ceremony with more than 20 trophies in various categories is set for 4 p.m.

The car show is presented by the Taylor Cultural Arts Foundation and the City of Taylor Department of Golf, Parks and Recreation.
