Great American Campout is coming to Heritage Park on June 26 2010!
Registration begins on Monday, May 24!

| The City of Taylor joins the National Wildlife Federation in inviting our community to "camp out" the night of June 26, when Heritage Park will be turned into an actual campground. Families will have the opportunity to set up a tent (one tent per spot) or a small pop-up camper (space is limited) on the "Bean Field" for a fee of $23.00. |

The Department of Golf, Parks & Recreation will staff a host tent offering guided nature walks in the wooded trails, fishing in Coan Lake, nature themed arts and crafts, star gazing, sing-alongs by a huge camp fire, "smores" and much more. Also included will be a hot dog, chip and pop dinner and a pancake breakfast on site the following morning. Tent set-up will be 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Activities will begin at 3 p.m. There will be a schedule of events available at registration. |
Site registration begins on May 24 at the Parks and Recreation Office, located at 22805 Goddard Road. The registration deadline is June 18. No walk-ins will be accepted. For more information, call (734) 374-3906.
