Kennedy varsity boys basketball team in state tournament quarterfinals

The boys varsity basketball team at Taylor's John F. Kennedy High School has earned a spot in the quarterfinals of the Class A state tournament. The Eagles, now 21-3, are one of eight teams alive in the tournament sponsored by the Michigan High School Athletic Association. They play Detroit Denby (15-9) at 5:30 p.m. March 23 at the University of Detroit-Mercy. The winner advances to the final four. This is the farthest a Kennedy boys basketball team has advanced in the state tournament in the 44-year history of the high school. Congratulations, Eagles!
