Memorial Day Weekend Photo Salute

During a recent visit to his hometown of Taylor, Michigan, Army Spec. Aaron Davis took time to visit the Lest They
Be Forgotten Memorial dedicated to the late Army Spec. Holly McGeogh, who was killed on January 31, 2004, in
the war in Iraq. Holly -- who remains the only Michigan woman killed during the war -- is one of more than 50
military heroes from Taylor who were killed in wartime and are remembered during Memorial Day weekend 2010
and throughout the year. Both Holly and Aaron are alumni of Harry S Truman High School. At the time of the
photo, Aaron had just returned from Afghanistan when his parents Richard and Jeannette scheduled family photos,
including some at the memorial in front of Taylor City Hall. Aaron served as medic with the CIED (Counter-
Improvised Explosive Devices) Team 14, which performed more than 400 missions in the province of Logar, which
is just southeast of Kabul.
