FROM THE NEWS-HERALD: Shelter seeks owners of lost dogs

TAYLOR — Two lost dogs were recovered from I-75 and members of the city’s animal shelter are looking for the owners.

A pair of female pit bull mixes were found last week together on the I-75 southbound ramp in Taylor near ACO Hardware.

One dog is a tan and white pit bull mix while the other is a black and white color mix and both appear to know each other, said Catherine Palazzolo, who fosters rescued dogs for the shelter.

“They are depressed when they don’t see each other,” Palazzolo said. “I would really hope to get the word out about these dogs in hopes that their owner steps forward.”

Both are being cared for at the shelter, waiting for their owners. They were made available for adoption today.

The Taylor Animal Shelter is at 25555 Northline Road, west of Telegraph and east of Beech Daly.

Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Adoptions must be completed by 4 p.m. due to paperwork.

The shelter may be reached at 1-734-374-1354.
