Registration for Summer Reading Programs begins June 21 at the Taylor Library

Registration begins June 21 for the Taylor Community Library's Summer Reading Programs.

"Make A Splash @ Your Library -- READ!"

The free reading program is designed to help maintain skills of beginning and established readers over the summer -- with an emphasis on fun. The Read to Me Program is open to children ages 2 to 5. The Independent Readers Program is for 6- to 12-year-olds.

The programs runs through August 7 and include magic, animals, yo-yos, clowns, music and crafts. Participants receive a calendar of events and a book bag at registration. Readers will enjoy earning prizes from the Reading Club Store.

Be on the lookout for the library "fish pond." When you borrow materials from the library this summer, you can fish out a prize.

New for 2010: Teen Summer Reading Program "Make Waves @ Your Library"

The program for students ages 13 to 17 includes workshops and programs. Registration begins June 21 and the program wraps up at the end of July.

Tickets earned for reading will be placed in a drawing that will allow teens to win one of three fabulous prizes.
