Registration under way for Taylor Fraternal Order of Police golf outing
The Fraternal Order of Police, Taylor Lodge 123, will host its second annual golf outing on Friday, June 25, at Taylor Meadows Golf Club. This is the F.O.P.'s largest event of the year -- and organizers hope it's their biggest and best to date. Proceeds help fund the yearlong community support by the F.O.P. Registration begins at 7 a.m. A shotgun start for the four-person scramble will take place at 8 a.m. The cost is $100 per golfer or $400 per foursome. Payment includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, three snack bar tickets per golfer at the turn, dinner and an open bar at the closing banquet. As always, there will be great door prizes and items to raffle. During the awards ceremony after the outing, the F.O.P. will award its annual Holly McGeogh Memorial Scholarship, which honors the memory of the late U.S. Army Specialist Holly McGeogh, a Taylor resident who lost her life while serving our country during the war in Iraq. Organizers also are seeking sponsors. For more information on the golf outing or sponsorship, call Matt Menard at (734) 748-7597 or Nate Kuzma at (734) 673-315. Taylor Meadows is located at 25360 Ecorse Road.
