Sign up now to play in the fund-raising golf tournament for Junior League World Series
The third annual Andy Gerick Memorial Golf Outing -- which raises funds for the Junior League World Series in Taylor -- is scheduled for July 18 at Rolling Meadows Country Club in Whitmore Lake. The event is held in memory of the late Andy Gerick, a long-time World Series supporter and its former official scorekeeper. The four-man scramble begins with check-in and lunch at 12:30 p.m. The event also includes 18 holes of golf, dinner, skins and prizes. Players should bring a small cooler as the tournament organizers also supply pop and beer. The entry fee is $90 per player. Hole sponsors are needed as well. The cost is $100 per hole, which is tax deductible. To register, sponsor a hole or donate a door prize, contact Greg Bzura at (734) 306-3113 or firstname.lastname@example.org or Ken Beheler at (313) 930-4480 or email@example.com. All proceeds benefit the Junior League World Series, a tournament for the top teams of 13- and 14-year-old ballplayers from around the world. The 30th annual World Series takes place the week of August 15 at Heritage Park.
