Taylor Garden Club donates 22 children's books to Taylor Library

Taylor Garden Club members Mary Krzeczkowski and Nancy Smith presented 22 children’s books on butterflies, ecology and garden-related subjects to the children’s librarian at the Taylor Community Library.

The Taylor Garden Club has been donating books since 2008, when Michigan Garden Club President Lynn Dinvald asked members to read and donate books to children in their communities.

Since then, the club has donated a total of 115 books to nine Taylor public elementary schools, the Johnson Preschool, the Heritage Park Petting Farm and the Taylor Community Library. Several books on butterflies were also donated to Taylor Professional Resource Center for teachers to use as reference guides.

The library is located at 12303 Pardee Road. For hours and other information, call (734) 287-4840.
