Taylor's tribute to military heroes is Saturday morning

City of Taylor Veterans Memorial Remembrance
What: A Day to Remember – Taylor’s tribute to military veterans, both living and deceased
When: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, which is National Armed Forces Day
Where: The Veterans Memorial Garden located in front of the Police Station in Priebe Plaza just east of City Hall
Details: There will be speeches by Mayor Jeffrey P. Lamarand, U.S. Rep. John D. Dingell, retired Sgt. Major Joni Bridgens and others. Patriotic music will be performed by the Truman High School Band and the Taylor Community Chorus. Taylor veterans, organizations and members of the Truman JROTC will participate in the presentation of colors and memorial wreaths. The name of Alva Trombly Jr. will be unveiled on the Korean War monument. Visitors will be invited to tour the Taylor American Warriors Museum in City Hall. Lunch will be provided by Seaway Marketplace and served by volunteers.
