Dominick's story hit the newspapers during the past month when he told his family that he wanted the donkey from the Petting Farm to visit him at home. Family members of the gravely ill boy relayed the story to Mayor Rick Sollars, who had staff open the farm during the winter season to give the little boy and his friends a free visit. City Council declared a day in the City of Taylor, "Dominick Keck Day."
