VFW POST 4422 DISHES OUT THE FREE DINNERS

The VFW Post 4422 just wanted to do their annual “thank you” to the community last week by putting on a free community dinner, according to Stephanie Krueger of the Ladies Auxiliary. If that was the case, they accomplished their mission in an A-plus fashion.

Krueger said that the VFW dished out approximately 300 dinners in a three-hour time frame on April 9. “I thought it went very well,” she said. “We just wanted to say thank you to everyone out there who supports the VFW. This is our way of giving back to the community.”

Among those who made their way down to the Pine Street post were Mayor Rick Sollars, City Clerk Cindy Bower, City Treasurer Edward Bourassa and City Council members Charley Johnson and Tim Woolley.
