Drivers receiving traffic or parking tickets can now pay fines using a phone-in credit-card system without visiting Taylor’s 23rd District Court.

The Taylor court is the first courthouse in Michigan to partner with California-based U.S. Audiotex to establish a Citation Service Bureau, which processes credit-card payments from persons receiving tickets. The fully automated system enables payments by telephone 24 hours a day.

To access the service and pay citations, drivers may call 1-877-286-6070 from any touch-tone telephone. The caller will be asked to enter a citation number, date of birth, a daytime phone number and a credit card number.

The caller will be informed of a convenience fee that will be charged to cover all costs of the service, including the credit card and banking fees. The court does not incur any costs for the use of this service. The amount of the convenience fee depends on the amount of the fine being paid.
