The Taylor School District ArtsFest is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at the Taylor Sportsplex, 13333 Telegraph Road. The annual ArtsFest, which is one of the City of Taylor's 40th anniversary events, displays the talents of Taylor school children. A virtual art show, which starts at 6:30, showcases the district's secondary art program. The theme is "Healthy Me." Elementary chorus students, including the Sixth Grade Academy, will begin singing at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

St. Alfred Spring Fling Dinner Dance

Water Aerobics Classes Begin

Registration for water aerobics classes at the Sheridan Community Center Pool are under way. A 10-week session is set for Mondays and Wednesdays, June 2-August 13. There are four sessions: Session I is from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays. Session II is 7 to 8 p.m. Mondays. Session III is 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays. And Session IV is 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays. (No class will be held Wednesday, July 9, or Monday, July 14.) The fee is $48 per session or a $7 fee to drop in. Register at the Parks and Recreation Office on Goddard Road, just west of Pardee Road. No registrations will be taken at the pool. Kennedy Football Golf Outing

A golf outing to raise funds for the football program at John F. Kennedy High School is set for Saturday, June 7, at Taylor Meadows Golf Course.

The fifth annual Eagle Golf Outing starts with registration and a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The 18-hold, four-person scramble with use of a cart includes closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive contests, a hot dog, chips and drink at the turn, a buffet lunch with two hours of free drinks, the Eagle Challenge and other contests. The cost is $100 per golfer or $400 per foursome.
