The City of Taylor is seeking applicants for the following:

Senior Center Bus Driver (Part-time):

  • Able to work 10-20 hours each
    week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
  • Qualified applicants must possess
    a CDL 
  • Knowledge of Taylor with regard to street locations is  preferred

Department of Public Services/DPW:

Temporary DPW Positions

The DPW is seeking candidates for temporary positions to perform grass cutting and various related duties as assigned.  Candiates must be able to operate a riding mower and be at least 18 years of age.  Candidates need to be available Monday through Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m  Hourly rate for position is $10.00 an hour.  These positions are seasonal temporary. 

Taylor Golf:  Lakes of Taylor & Meadows Golf Course

Line Cook:
  • Job Description/Skills: Primary
    responsibilities include:  Cooking,
    plating and garnishing orders.  Prep and
    portion control.  Broiler, grill, fryer,
    sauté and pantry experience needed. Weekly and daily cleaning and maintenance
    of all cooking areas. Cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage storage
    facilities and refrigeration and cooking appliances. Ability to communicate
    with all staff members and supervisors and listen effectively.  Banquet/Catering experience desirable.
  •  Salary/Schedule: Hourly rate would
    be $9.00 per hour.  Hours range
    from 20 to 30 hours per week.   Must be
    available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.  Shift times vary depending on events and
    other business activities.

Golf Seasonal Positions:
  • Player's Assistants 
  • Pro Shop Operators 
  • Rangers 
  • Starters 
  • Servers (must be 18 years of age)
  • Line Cooks 
  • Snack Bar Attendants (must be 18 years of age) 
Seasonal Parks & Recreation:
Grass Cutting: 
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Must be 18 years of age.  Ability to operate a riding mower required. 

Lifeguards for Summer 2014 (must be certified)  

   Lifeguards are needed to guard the Northwest Park Pool located at 6000 Duncan Street, south of Van Born Road.  Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment and will provide first aid/emergency care as needed. Lifeguards will also be expected to keep the facility clean. Current Lifeguard and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications are required. Candidates must be able to work weekend hours, Friday through Sunday.
