Temporary Office Support Position

 

The City Clerk’s Office is seeking candidates for a temporary office support position.  Candidates need to be available Monday through Friday during normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend availability is required at times for Election preparation.   Employee will work an average of 20 (twenty) hours per week.   Hourly rate for position is $10.00. Candidates must possess the following skills:  computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to use data entry systems, ability to handle resident inquiries in person and over the phone in a professional manner, perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and faxing, and any other duties as assign by the City Clerk and Deputy Clerk.  Candidates with college coursework completed are preferred.  High School education required.

 

Department of Public Services/DPW:

Temporary DPW Positions

 

The DPW is seeking candidates for temporary positions to perform grass cutting and various related duties as assigned.  Candidates must be able to operate a riding mower and be at least 18 years of age.  Candidates need to be available Monday through Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hourly rate for position is $10.00 an hour. 

 

Building, Grounds, & Parks Maintenance:

Temporary positions

 

Typical Schedule: 7:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday;may work less based on weather. Must be available to work evenings, weekend, and holidays as needed. HOURLY WAGE:  $10.00 an hour. Temporary employee works under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Foreman.  General duties include maintenance of buildings, grounds, and parks.  Employees may be assigned other duties as determined by management. 

 

Candidates must possess a high school diploma and valid driver's license.  Experience required includes snow plowing, commercial grass cutting, and ability to work in extreme temperatues. Must be able to lift 80 pounds. Prefer experience in landscape and irrigation installation.  Prefer candidates who possess MDA Commercial Pesticide License and/or CDL.  Expected to wear proper clothing, boots, and protective gear as provided daily.

 

Taylor Sportsplex:

 

Concessions: 

• Must be able to work 10-20 hours a week

• Must be available Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00am until 10:00 p.m.

• Possess ability to prepare snack type foods and operate a cash register

 

Event Staff:

• Must be able to work 10-20 hours a week

• Must be available Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00am until 10:00 p.m.

• Possess ability to perform duties as a score-keeper and skate guard, service customers with skate rental, and clean facility
