Golf, Parks, and Recreation Positions:


 


Facility Shift Manager-Assists with scheduling and supervision of employees as well as supervise programs while on duty. Answer/return resident phone calls.  Coordinate scheduling of rentals.  Must perform light cleaning and direct staff to maintain a clean facility. Strong customer service skills and previous supervisory experience are required. Some light cleaning. Flexible works hours are a must, with some shifts starting at 6:00 am.  Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends.


 


Customer Service Personnel- Candidates must be able to perform a variety of customer service related duties and assist the manager on duty with general supervision of facility and programs. Must be able to answer phones, schedule rentals, accurately record payments and maintain front lobby area. Candidates will be expected to clean the facility as needed. A flexible work schedule is a must with some shifts starting at 6:00 am.  Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends.


 


Weight Room Attendee- Candidates must be able to perform a variety of customer service related duties and assist the manager on duty with general supervision of facility and programs. Candidates are responsible for maintaining the second floor gym and cardio rooms and ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to for members using the exercise equipment. A flexible work schedule is a must with some shifts starting at 6:00 am.  Candidates must be able to work nights and weekends


 


All persons hired for a Golf, Parks and Recreation position will be utilized in more than one facility as needed.


 


 Senior Center Bus Driver (Part-time)-$12.00 hourly wage


 


The City of Taylor is looking for a responsible and dependable person who is able to do the following job responsibilities:


 


-  Able to work 10-20 hours each week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.


 


-  Qualified applicants must possess a CDL license


 


- Knowledge of Taylor with regard to street locations is  preferred

Temporary DPW Positions:  The DPW is seeking candidates for temporary positions to perform grass cutting and various related duties as assigned.  Candidates must be able to operate a riding mower and be at least 18 years of age.  Candidates need to be available Monday through Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hourly rate for position is $10.00 an hour. 


 


Building, Grounds, & Parks Maintenance: 


Temporary positions


 


Typical Schedule: 7:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday;may work less based on weather. Must be available to work evenings, weekend, and holidays as needed. HOURLY WAGE:  $10.00 an hour. Temporary employee works under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Foreman.  General duties include maintenance of buildings, grounds, and parks.  Employees may be assigned other duties as determined by management.   


 


Candidates must possess a high school diploma and valid driver's license.  Experience required includes snow plowing, commercial grass cutting, and ability to work in extreme temperatues. Must be able to lift 80 pounds. Prefer experience in landscape and irrigation installation.  Prefer candidates who possess MDA Commercial Pesticide License and/or CDL.  Expected to wear proper clothing, boots, and protective gear as provided daily.

Concessions: 


• Must be able to work 10-20 hours a week


• Must be available Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00am until 10:00 p.m.


• Possess ability to prepare snack type foods and operate a cash register


 


Event Staff:


• Must be able to work 10-20 hours a week


• Must be available Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00am until 10:00 p.m.


• Possess ability to perform duties as a score-keeper and skate guard, service customers with skate rental, and clean facility
