Detroit Trackers become Dearborn Brand AAA Hockey Club

The Detroit Trackers AAA organization has changed its name to the Dearborn Brand AAA Hockey Club and is now sponsored by the Dearborn Sausage Company, a family-owned business headquartered in the area.

Eric Burley, president of the newly-named Dearborn Brand AAA Hockey Club, was extremely pleased to have the support of Dearborn Brand and feels the "additional corporate sponsorship with our AAA program should help us continue to grow the organization and provide for an even more competitive environment for our teams."

The past Detroit Trackers program has tried to provide a more family-friendly environment in the competitive world of AAA hockey while always maintaining the goal of outstanding player development.

“Winning is great, but we really stress that the kids need to have fun playing hockey and the continual player development of those kids is the foundation of our program,” said Burley.

The Dearborn Brand AAA Hockey Club uses the Taylor Sportsplex as its home ice, with its older teams skating in the Great Lakes AAA Hockey League while the younger ages will continue to participate in the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League.

Dearborn Brand is also affiliated with the Taylor Wild for their teams at the 1997, ’98 and ’99 level teams. The organization’s teams have already reaped a benefit in the form of terrific food on a early season road trip. The Dearborn Sausage Company supplied sausages and ham for a recent road trip.

“The players and their parents - everyone loved it,” said Dearborn Brand secretary Kim Louria.
