Public can provide input to Metro Airport Master Plan
The Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport Master Plan process includes a public involvement program to encourage information sharing, discussion and collaboration among the airport sponsors, users and tenants, agencies, civic and elected officials and the public. Collectively, these groups represent the airport stakeholders who have an interest in the direction and outcome of the master plan study.
Several public information workshops will be conducted in December. The workshops will be structured with interactive discussion led by members of the Technical Advisory Committee. The meeting will include a brief presentation to introduce the study process and explain the information being provided. Attendees can then visit with Wayne County Airport Authority staff and the planning team in an informal, one-on-one basis and provide their perspective and input on issues, challenges and potential solutions.
The workshops will be held:
●Thursday, December 14, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Metropolitan Hotel, located at 31500 Wick Road, Romulus. There is ample, free parking adjacent to the hotel.
●Saturday, December 16, 2006, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Southland Public Library, located at 14680 Dix-Toledo Road, Southgate.
●Monday, December 18, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Northwest Activity Center, 18100 Meyers Road, Detroit.
