Elvis tribute artist Sherman Arnold part of celebration

Former Taylor resident Sherman Arnold will celebrate his 67th birthday -- and his 52nd year of doing a tribute to Elvis and other pioneers of rock and roll and country music -- during a party March 24 at the Almatta Hall, 5121 Oakman, Dearborn.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show runs from 6 p.m. to midnight.

A special legends show will feature Michigan tribute artists Tyrone Hamilton as Ray Charles, Marco Roncillo as Neil Diamond, Dan Spencer as Toby Keith, Brian Grob as Buddy Holly and Fred Wolfe as the 60s and 70s Elvis.

Tickets are $20; $5 for children 12 and under. Food and drinks will be available. (There is no smoking inside the building.)
