City of Taylor keeps students active during winter break

Children in first through sixth grades can stay active during their winter break from the Taylor public schools.

The City of Taylor Department of Golf, Parks and Recreation offers a memorable week-long “Amazing Animals” program to keep children busy, active and entertained from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 26 to March 2 at the Heritage Park Activity Building.

The program includes daily group crafts and activities. Special presentations will be made by Animal Magic Inc. and the Taylor police canine unit. Field trips include tours of the Gibraltar Animal Hospital, Lake Erie Metropark Museum and Cabela’s and a visit to an IMAX Theater.

The fee is $65 for one child in a family and $20 per each additional child. Light snacks are provided, but children are required to bring their own lunch.

To register, visit the Taylor Golf, Parks and Recreation Office at 22805 Goddard Road. For more information, call (734) 374-3906.
