In Michigan, there are more than 11,000 people on dialysis and more than 2,500 people waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant. The number of children diagnosed with kidney disease climbs every day due to obesity and diabetes and one in nine American adults have chronic kidney disease -- and most don’t know it.

The Kidney Foundation helps more people in the prevention and treatment of kidney and urinary tract diseases than any other voluntary health agency. The mission of the foundation is to prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it.
