Register now for Taylor classic car show benefitting the arts

The third annual “Cruisin’ for the Arts” is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, starting at 1 p.m. at the Taylor Sportsplex and ending at 6 p.m. at Heritage Park.

The classic car cruise and show are part of the June 9-10 Masco Art in the Park Festival at the park. The cruise benefits the Taylor Friends of the Arts and the Taylor Cultural Arts Commission.

Drivers should start lining up for the cruise portion of the show at noon at the Sportsplex, 13333 Telegraph Road. Starting at 1 p.m., the cars will cruise through Midtown Taylor on Goddard Road and eventually into Heritage Park, 12111 Pardee Road.

The car show is scheduled for 2 to 6 p.m. at the park, with the awards ceremony taking place at 4 p.m. Prizes will be announced. Vehicle owners must be registered to qualify for awards. Spectators are welcome.

Owners of classic cars may enter their vehicles now and save $2 on the registration fee. Advance registration is $8 per vehicle; the fee is $10 on the day of the cruise.
