Annual auction is May 12 at the Community Center
The annual auction hosted by the Taylor Auxiliary Police is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 12 at the Sheridan Community Center, 12111 Pardee Road. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
The public is invited. There is no admission fee.
All items are sold "as is." The buyer must pay cash for all purchases at the time of the sale. No personal checks are accepted.
Proceeds from the auction benefit the Auxiliary Police, a group of volunteers who assist the regular Taylor Police Department in a variety of duties. Auxiliary officers use the money to purchase equipment and supplies to support their work. The Taylor Auxiliary Police was organized as a volunteer group in 1962. Auxiliary officers provide checks on homes during vacations, businesses and schools, provide holiday anti-theft programs and provide assistance as deemed necessary to further the goals of the Police Department.
