City of Taylor increasing ordinance enforcement
The City of Taylor will be increasing ORDINANCE ENFORCEMENT. Of immediate concern are the following: high grass, junk and debris, unlicensed/non-mobile vehicles, parking across public sidewalks, parking commercial vehicles in residential areas and placing signs on the public easement. A civil infraction citation will be issued for each ordinance violation.
Owners of rental property need to know that as property owners they are responsible for their property. Ordinance violations will be issued to them for failure to maintain their property.
Violators will no longer receive a warning letter notifying them to correct the violation. Instead, a “Notice – City of Taylor Ordinance Violation” sticker may be placed on the offending property to notify them they have 24 hours to rectify the situation.
If you have questions, please contact the Ordinance Department at (734) 374-1470.
