Rotary seeks professionals for group study exchange in Finland

Taylor Rotarians are seeking outstanding, enthusiastic professionals between the ages of 25 to 40 to take part in the Group Study Exchange program of The Rotary Foundation. This year, the team members who are selected to participate in this goodwill/friendship tour will be visiting a district of Finland between March 29 and April 26, 2008.

The program brings together teams of professionals who exchange visits between paired areas in different countries. During the four- to six-week exchange, team members will share personal experience of their vocation, knowledge of their own country and experience the customs and lifestyles of the host country.

The Group Study Exchange promotes community and goodwill on an international level through person-to-person contact. While abroad, team members stay with Rotarians from the host country, offering them the opportunity to interact with their professional counterparts.  They will also give presentations to Rotary clubs and other groups about their home country.

The Rotary Foundation provides a round-trip air ticket, and local Rotarians in the host country provide meals, lodging and group travel in their district. Team members pay for personal and incidental expenses.

Those interested in applying must be employed full-time in a business or profession in the public or private sector. Applicants must live or be employed in Rotary District 6400, which encompasses the counties of Wayne, Monroe and Lenawee in Michigan, and Windsor and Essex County in Ontario.
