Congressman Dingell to lead healthcare forum

Congressman John D. Dingell (D-15th District) has invited healthcare experts to take part in a District Hearing on the State of Healthcare in the 15th District at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Romulus City Council Chambers, 11111 Wayne Road.

The Congressman, who represents Taylor, will hear from three panels at the hearing: one on community health centers, a second on the United Auto Workers’ (UAW) Voluntary Employee Benefit Association deal, and then a third on the work of some of the local hospitals.

The event will mirror a Congressional hearing in the sense that witnesses will be providing testimony to Congressman Dingell and the Congressman may follow up with questions if time allows.

Also participating will be representatives from Oakwood Medical Center, Henry Ford Health System, the United Auto Workers, The Family Medical Center in Temperance and Western Wayne Health Center.
