Kennedy students challenge staff in fund-raising basketball game
Members of the John F. Kennedy High School student body will challenge the high school staff to a basketball game to raise money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Taylor. The game is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at the school, located on Kennedy Drive, south of Northline Road and west of Telegraph Road.
Tickets are $5. All net proceeds will benefit the Kennedy Key Club, which has a team in the Relay for Life. Concessions, raffles, a bake sale and other surprises will be part of the night.
The Relay for Life -- the American Cancer Society's signature fund-raising event -- is set for 10 a.m. May 31 to 10 a.m. June 1 at Heritage Park.
