The Planning Department oversees all planning and zoning services in the City of Taylor. It manages and coordinates all new commercial and industrial review and development, new subdivision development, as well as additions and/or changes to existing development, with its goal being sustainable quality community growth in accordance with the City’s Master Plan, Zoning Ordinance and policies set by State and Local law.
The Planning Department also serves as liaison to both the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.
|PLANNING COMMISSION |
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held in the City Council Chambers.
|ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS |
The Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7 p.m. the second and last Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held in the City Council Chambers.
ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW COMMITTEE
This is an internal committee made up of various department officials that meets at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays. Plans to be reviewed by the ARC must be received by noon the Friday prior to the meeting, to be distributed for review. Review generally takes one week. Comments for resubmittal are usually received by Friday after distribution.
