May 2, 2006
On May 2, 2006, at approximately 10:14 p.m., Taylor Police responded to the 8200 block of Cornell on a death investigation. A son had found his father dead inside the home. Upon their arrival, the officers found a deceased subject in the home. The victim was later identified as Gary Wayne Craven, 47. The case has been ruled a homicide. The investigation leads detectives to believe that more than one defendant was involved and that Mr. Craven probably knew his attacker(s). It appears that Mr. Craven was killed earlier that day.
