High wind warning is in effect Tuesday for Wayne County

An urgent weather message has been issued by the National Weather Service for Wayne County and other regions. The warning, which is in effect from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, states that very strong winds are expected Tuesday and Wednesday. Wind gusts in excess of 60 miles per hour are possible. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop as well. A "hazardous weather outlook" says some of the storms will be capable of producing wind gusts to 75 MPH and there is a chance of tornadoes with the storms.
