Taylor firefighters, Toarmina's Pizza team up to promote great pizza and smoke detectors

Taylor firefighters, Toarmina's Pizza team up on pizza/smoke detector special October 27

Members of Taylor Firefighters IAFF Local 1252 and Toarmina's Pizza of Taylor are combining to offer a great price on pizza and promote smoke detector safety.

Firefighters will “take over” Toarmina’s Pizza at 11054 Allen Road from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. October 27. They will take orders and make and deliver the food.

Every 10th delivery will be transported in a fire truck – and firefighters will make sure residents’ smoke detectors are working correctly and will deliver several new smoke detectors as well.

Toarmina’s will reduce prices on October 27 and all proceeds will be split between fire prevention materials for Taylor school children and the Local 1252 charity fund. The fire union has donated to the University of Michigan Burn Center, Fish and Loaves Community Food Pantry, Muscular Dystrophy Association and other great charities.

October is National Fire Prevention Month and National Pizza Month. A similar pizza promotion in Pittsburgh raised about $20,000.

For more details or to order pizzas, call Toarmina's at (734) 287-0500.
