Tim Skubick's "Election Recap" is coming to Taylor

Tim Skubick, the longest-serving member of the state capitol press corps, will present an election recap on Monday, November 29, in the Ray Mix Room at the Downriver Campus of Wayne County Community College District, 21000 Northline Road, Taylor.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The program will run from 8 to 9 a.m. Continental breakfast will be served.

The event is presented by the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber, based in Taylor. The public is invited. Tickets are $10 per person. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling (734) 284-6000.

Tim Skubick has anchored the weekly public television series "Off the Record" since 1972. The show is seen on Michigan public TV stations and has an audience of 100,000 viewers each week.

He also anchors the annual State of the State addresses and other Michigan election and political specials produced by WKAR-TV in East Lansing.

Skubick covers the state capitol for a variety of other media outlets, including 66 radio stations through the Michigan Radio Network. He writes a weekly political column for 22 statewide newspapers and is in high demand on the public-speaking circuit around the state.
