Why Choose a Farm for a Field Trip? A Farm provides a place where you can achieve many learning outcomes. It appeals to all types of learners! The auditory learner can hear a rooster crow, or a cow moo. The sensory learner can touch the wool on a soft sheep or feel the feathers of a baby chick. The sights, sounds and smell of the barn give each student an opportunity to come in close contact with our friendly animals. |

Farm field trips take place Tuesday though Friday. They are scheduled at 9:30 am, 10:45 pm, 12:30 pm and 1:45 pm. This one hour guided tour explores different livestock species and teaches interesting facts about day-to-day functions of a working farm. The barn is heated in the winter, so your field trip can take place anytime throughout the school year. Teachers may ask the education coordinator to focus on a special topic about farm life that the students may be studying. Please ask the scheduler about this when you book your trip. |
