TAYLOR – Bicycles, small household appliances, tools and other items will be on the auction block Saturday, June 17, at the Sheridan Community Center.

The public auction, sponsored by the Taylor Auxiliary Police, will open for viewing at 8:30 a.m., with the bidding starting at 9 a.m. The Community Center is located at 12111 Pardee Road.

All items are sold “as is.” The buyer must pay cash for each purchase at the time of the sale. No personal checks are accepted.

Proceeds from the auction benefit the Auxiliary Police, a group of volunteers who assist the regular Taylor Police Department in a variety of duties. Auxiliary officers will use the money to purchase equipment and supplies to support their work.

The Taylor Auxiliary Police was organized as a volunteer group in 1962. Auxiliary officers provide inspections of homes during vacations, businesses and schools, provide holiday shopping center anti-theft programs and provide assistance as deemed necessary to further the goals of the Police Department.
