Turn Off the Violence Family Picnic is September 21

The 12th annual Turn Off the Violence Family Picnic, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Taylor, is set for 3 to 7 p.m. September 21 at Heritage Park, 12111 Pardee Road, between Northline and Goddard roads. The free event is a fun afternoon for Taylor children and parents. There will be free hot dogs, Penguin Juice drinks and chips, plus demonstrations of soccer, street hockey, lacrosse, bowling and fishing. Also scheduled are presentations by the Taylor Animal Shelter, youth golf lessons, hayrides, clowns, face painting, crafts, magic, puppets, ventriloquism, the Taylor police canine unit, DARE, child finger printing, the Fire Department aerial truck, fire safety information, support group information, the Taylor Garden Club and information about the Taylor Family Enrichment Fair.
