Golf outing raises funds for Penrickton Center for Blind Children

Biker Bob's Bunker Bash golf outing to benefit the Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor is set for September 29 at Lakes of Taylor Golf Club, 25505 Northline Road.

A shotgun start will take place at 11 a.m. Registration, use of the driving range and continental breakfast buffet will be available at 10 a.m.

The fee is $12 per golfer or $500 per foursome. The day includes 18 holes of golf, an information package with gifts for each player, lunch with beverage at the turn, hors d'oeuvres served immediately after the round, followed by a steak and chicken dinner and alcoholic beverages. There will be six contests: longest drive, straightest drive, two closest to the pin holes and two holes in one. There will be plenty of awards, contests and prizes. The Biker Bob's Bobettes will provide hospitality around the course. Dinner-only tickets are available for $50.

All proceeds benefit Penrickton Center, a private nonprofit charity serving blind, multi-disables children ages 1 to 12. The facility provides five-day residential daycare and consultation/evaluation services at no charge to families. Currently, there are 30 children enrolled in the program. Penrickton does not receive state, federal or United Way support, but relies solely on private donations. Sponsorships for the outing are available.
