UPDATE: Friday's free concert canceled; instead series will start June 7

EDITOR'S NOTE: The "Party in the Park" free concert series was originally scheduled to kick off Friday, May 3. However, Friday's concert has been canceled. The series will instead open on Friday, June 7.

Get ready for Taylor's Rockin' Big Summer! The City's newest free concert series, “Party in the Park,” sponsored by the Wayne County Community College District, will begin on Friday, June 7, at Sheridan Open Air Pavilion featuring the Autumn Kings, an exciting new group. The concert is free and gates open at 7 p.m..

In fact, the entire four-concert series is free, with future dates planned for Friday evenings in July, August and September. Food and drinks will be available for purchase (no outside food or drinks allowed). Beer, wine and a few “fun” drinks will also be available for purchase. Come early to set up your blankets and lawn chairs.

Parking is free in the Sheridan Center Pardee Road lot and surrounding areas in Heritage Park. With plenty of parking available, please do not park on the grass - especially during the spring when some areas may be very wet.

The Autumn Kings are an independent rock/pop band from LaSalle, Ontario. They recently released a 12-song debut album ("Silver Screens") that has generated over 2.6M Spotify Streams on social media, and over 42M plays across Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. The band's song, "Devil in Disguise," is played regularly across Canada and has become a staple of the National Hockey League, frequently played in games between longtime rivals Colorado and Detroit.

Autumn Kings’ performance history includes venues and renowned festivals such as The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern, Caesars Windsor, The Fillmore Detroit, St. Andrew‘s Hall, LiUNA Bluesfest, Fork & Cork Festival and Arts Beats & Eats Festival.

They have also completed a largely successful four-month Canadian tour stretching from Ontario to British Columbia. Autumn Kings has performed with international touring acts such as Sublime w/ Rome, Pop Evil, Awolnation, and MuteMath. While being favorably received by Canadian and American audiences, Autumn Kings’ impact doesn’t stop there. They are quickly gaining loyal fan bases in Mexico and all across Europe. Autumn Kings is a band for the whole world to enjoy.
