The Taylor Sportsplex, in partnership with Ty Metzger State Farm, will be hosting a “Family Movie Night” featuring “Toy Story” outside the facility on Friday, July 24. Due to state emergency health requirements, this event is limited in capacity, and will be available by registration only on a first-come, first-served basis until spots fill up.
The cost is only $5 per vehicle, and entry will begin at 7:30 p.m. the night of the event. Your reservation will grant you a parking space and everyone in your vehicle a designated spot for the movie, which will be outside the facility.
All state health emergency standards will be in effect: Reserved locations will be social distanced; social distancing is required during the movie; and masks must be worn to enter in the TSX for concessions or restroom usage. Those attending should bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc.
Toy Story is a 1995 computer-animated buddy comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film featured the directorial debut of John Lasseter, and was the first entirely computer-animated film, as well as Pixar’s first film. Tom Hanks is the voice of Toy Story’s star, Woody. Toy Story was overwhelmingly selected during a special online vote on the Taylor Recreation Department’s Facebook page.
In the film, Woody is a good-hearted cowboy doll who belongs to a young boy named Andy (John Morris), and sees his position as Andy’s favorite toy jeopardized by the appearance of Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen). When Andy’s family moves to a new house, Woody and Buzz must escape the clutches of maladjusted neighbor Sid Phillips and reunite with their boy.
It offers plenty of fun on July 24. Don’t miss out. Register today!
