About Council Pro-Tem Croft
(Angela Croft was selected as the City Council Pro-Tem in January 2019, after Alex Garza had left the council and Tim Woolley had been elevated to chairman.)
City Councilwoman Angela Croft was elected to her second four-year term in November 2017. She was first elected in November 2013 as council chair pro tem (second-leading vote-getter in the election), and eventually was elected as chairperson by her council peers when former Chairwoman Linda Parker Craig resigned in July 2017. Croft served as council chair through the November 2017 election, and now has returned to the pro-tem role.
She is employed by Alion Science and Technology, where she is a Senior Project Manager of Facilities at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. She spent 14 years at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, working as a department manager in Facility Maintenance and Landside Services.
She has a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Management from Davenport University. She has also earned several professional certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and is a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt.
She is married to James Isom, also of Taylor, and has one son (Anthony Croft), two stepsons (Nicholaus and Nathan Isom), one stepdaughter (Lauren Isom) and 5 grandchildren.
She has lived in Taylor for over 35 years, attending St. Alfred Elementary School, Charles E Brake Junior High and John F. Kennedy High School – 1985 graduate.
